ChairmanLieberfarb Associates LLC Warren N. Lieberfarb is chairman of Warren N. Lieberfarb & Associates LLC (WNLA), a consulting and investment firm based in Los Angeles specializing in the media and entertainment, technology, and retail industries. Since its founding in 2003, WNLA has developed and maintained ongoing business relationships with a broad array of industry-leading companies such as Toshiba Corporation, Microsoft, Discovery, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, National Geographic, The Walt Disney Company, Samsung, Comcast, The Weinstein Company, and Softbank (Japan), among others. Mr. Lieberfarb's relationships also extend to the creative community, including many iconic artists in the film and music industries. As chairman, Mr. Lieberfarb also led the formation of StepingStone Ventures, an investment consortium to fund the evaluation and development of broadband video distribution concepts. SteppingStone's investors included many of the aforementioned companies, who contributed to a successful seed round of financing in 2004. Prior to founding WNLA, Mr. Lieberfarb was president of Warner Home Video (WHV), the home entertainment arm of Warner Bros. Entertainment, where he guided the company through nearly two decades of growth. Mr. Lieberfarb's most significant achievement at WHV was his universally acknowledged role as the architect of the DVD. Today, DVD represents nearly half of global revenues for the entire motion picture industry, fundamentally altering the economics of filmmaking. In recognition of his unique role in the conceptualization and leadership of the commercial development of the DVD, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented Mr. Lieberfarb with an Emmy Award in 1999. Mr. Lieberfarb serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Sirius Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI). He also serves on the University of Pennsylvania's Board of Trustees, the Library Board of Overseers, and the Undergraduate Advisory Board of The Wharton School.
